Improving Language Skills in Osijek

Right after winter school break, a group of three dedicated students from Şehit Hasan Özüberk Anadolu Lisesi from Kilis, Türkiye, who spent 2 memorable weeks in Osijek, Croatia. Under the mentorship and supervision of very skilled English teacher Tamara Kapraljević, they were actively involved in her lessons and had their own tasks outside of the school Tehnička škola i prirodoslovna gimnazija Ruđera Boškovića Osijek, a Croatian school for their Erasmus+ experience.
Beside English language skills, Leyla, Elif Ece and Busra improved their communication skills. history knowledge and also learned some Croatian words. Of course, they tried both "burek" and "ćevapi", which sounded them so familiar, as some other words too.
At the weekend time together with our team explored the region and even the neighbouring country Hungary, a beautiful town of Pecs, where they visited all three main tourist attractions - katedralu Szent Péter és Szent Pál székesegyház, a former mosque Gázi Kászim pasa dzsámija and Zsolnay museum. Even on this small city break they had a task to explore the city and describe their experience to their Croatian peers in their hosting school.
Our role was to help them and the school with support and some interesting activities. We are always ready for hosting!
