Invited expert - Milas, Muğla, Türkiye

Milas Cumrihuyet Anadolu Lisesi, a secondary school from Milas in Muğla province invited our member Krunoslav Vukelić as an experienced expert in the Erasmus+ field under a scope of Erasmus+ Accreditation of Muğla Province. With activities like CLIL lessons which combined elements of English language, geography and history as well as ice-breaking activities, students learned about similarities and differences between Turkiye, Croatia and Europe. A school's staff became familiar with not only Croatian education system, but also with different European educational systems which finally ended up as a good discussion about future of education itself. From the other side, mr. Vukelić heard from students how they accepted a school's decision about "no smartphone" politicy, so his impression was that after a strong resistance in the beginning students realized that it has many positive impacts on their attention and their socialization in school. As usual, Turkish hospitality was almost unlimited and "out of this world", so all we can do is to try to return that in the same measure.
