The primary goal of implementing a training course in digital literacy for youth workers is to empower them with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate, educate, and lead effectively in the digital age. As technology becomes increasingly embedded in our daily lives, the ability to discern reliable information, recognize fake and unapproved news and utilize digital tools responsibly has never been more crucial. Youth workers, who play a pivotal role in guiding
and educating young people, need to be at the forefront of this change.
By equipping youth workers with skills to critically analyze information, verify sources, and teach these skills to young people, the project aims to create a ripple effect of informed, critical thinkers within communities. The organizations involved in this cooperation will exchange experiences, national practices, but will also create cooperation with the long-term goal of education in the field of IT technologies and digital literacy.
At the individual level, youth workers will gain confidence and skills, empowering them to lead digital education initiatives. These improvements will enhance their professional capabilities and increase their contributions to their organizations. At the organizational level, participating groups will benefit from having well-trained staff capable of implementing innovative digital education programs.
