LTTA Social Well-Being Students (Kastamonu, Türkiye)
Duration: 01/12/2025 - 05/12/2025
After hosting the staff meeting in October, it was time for us to go to beautiful old town of Kastamonu in Türkiye, where we spent very busy five days. Our hosts, 15 Temmuz Şehitler Anadolu Lisesi, welcomed us with a wonderful display of Turkish folk dances followed by sets of art sessions, music shows, conflict-resolving dramas, and a painting art workshop (Ebru style), which was both fun and educational. Our workshop took place on Wednesday (3 December) consisting of a set of group challenges that require cooperation between students where they learned how to navigate different social situations. There was also enough time for a visit to the breathtaking Ilgaz mountain where we spent a great afternoon enjoying forest walks and spectacular views. Final day was reserved for mobility evaluation and tour of Kastamonu which culminated in a visit to the fortress overlooking the city (Kastamonu Kalesi) - a fitting way to end a wonderful and culturally enriching visit.
Our organization was represented by Filip Bekavac and Petar Vukelić, both for the first time in their roles. According to the participants' feedback, they were pretty good! Other organizations were represented by 6 students along with their 2 teachers who did a great work.
We would like to thank hosting teachers who made this event great, thanks to well-known Turkish hospitality.
We are looking forward to seeing each other again in Kielce, Poland in March!
