Physical Well-Being activities in Lithuania
Duration: 18/05/2026 - 22/05/2026
As part of the KA210 project “Building Bridges with Holistic Well-Being”, two of our experts – Domagoj Gjalić and Filip Bekavac - visited Šiauliai, Lithuania from 18 to 22 May 2026 and were welcomed by one of our partner schools, Šiauliu sporto gimnazija.
The first day we were treated to a beautiful welcome ceremony, tried local delicacies, and enjoyed a wonderful musical performance by Lithuanian students. The second day was reserved for various sports activities, where we were shown demo performances in martial arts (judo and karate), after which we tested our humble skills in a variety of sports such as football, basketball, and volleyball. In the afternoon our partners took us on a tour of the city where we visited the cathedral, the pedestrian zone, and the Sundial square. Built in 1986 to commemorate the 750th birthday of Šiauliai, it is one of the best-known landmarks of the city. Also, we visited a nearby lake, which was truly stunning.
The third day we visited the beautiful Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, where we were given a guided tour by our Lithuanian partners and treated to a very nice lunch.
The final day was reserved for a presentation on the benefits of a healthy diet, followed by our interactive workshop where we discussed the benefits of physical activity on mental health and did some light exercise as well.
Sadly, this trip marks the end of our project. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting all the countries and meeting all our partners and we believe we built not only bridges to well-being, but lasting friendships as well.
