Youth Exchange - Sport Can Help You (Petralia Soprana, Sicily)

Our last activity was our first EU-funded project – a youth exchange Sport Can Help You that was organized in a Sicilian village Petralia Soprana, one of the officially most beautiful villages of Italy (I Borghi più belli d'Italia). Along with a partner from Romania Culturala Szarkaláb Kulturális Egyesület we were hosted by organization Centro Studi Tradizioni Popolari Gruppo Folk U Rafu Terrra del sale. The aim of this project and mobility was to promote and support sport and physical activities as recreational, physical and educational values as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle against a sedentary lifestyle. Moreover, this project encouraged participation in social life, social inclusion and acceptance of differences.
Our 15 members had a really nice program and different activities such as orienteering, hiking beneath the Etna volcano, dancing and singing, cultural activities (visiting Palermo and Cefalύ) and many other things. We are delighted with such an unimaginable and almost unreal hospitality, kindness, open-minded approach by both our host and the other partner. In this case, pictures are worth a million words.
